WELCOME TO MY BAREFOOT WORLD

I have a difficult time sewing with shoes on. When I go to retreats, I always make sure I wear slip on shoes so it is easy to press the "peddle to medal" barefoot.

TRICK OR TREAT BABUSHKA at PostCardMailArt

Sandy and I joined up as partners in the "Will You Swap With Me?" trade in our group called PostCardMailArt.
I works like this:  We make a card on the subject we choose, fibers or threads and send it to each other.
Sandy wanted a trade with the Babushka Nesting Dolls. I did not trade on the first time around with the Babushka. They intimidated me. But when Sandy asked me trade with her (and I only had to make 1) I said ok. Sandy was nice enough to snail mail me a pattern that would fit on the 4X6 postcard.

I worked on my little Babushka for 2 weeks... off and on. I DID NOT like this card. I had 4 attempts in the garbage. Then.... as i was throwing the 5th Babushka in the trash, I spotted a small piece of fabric that I had thrown out from a baby quilt that I had just finished. This little piece of fabric had the monkey face on it! The light bulb over my head went.............BOINNNNNGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG!

My ugly little Babushka was getting her face covered up with a mask. The mask lead to the pumpkin in her hands and now..........SHE IS GOING TRICK OR TREATING!
                                   BRILLIANT MODIFICATION DONT YOU THINK?
